Clubb Coolum Beach resort, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, is close to so many wonderful scenic and tourist attractions that will leave you with memories of your vacation long after your holiday is over.

World Heritage listed Fraser Island is the largest sand island on earth and home to Australia's purest breed of wild dog, the dingo, which coexists with wallabies, possums, echidnas and a wide variety of Australian bird-life.

On a boat cruise to the Noosa Everglades and Caloola you will see wonderful and unique Australian flora and fauna.

Perhaps Fishing, either off-shore or from one the many beaches or snorkelling or scuba diving the Reef, which is renowned for some of the best diving on the coast, will reward you with photographs to show friends the one that didn't get away!

The Big Pineapple

The Big Pineapple is a working plantation where you can actually see how pineapples and macadamia nuts are grown and harvested. Ride the fascinating Plantation Train through tropical fruit orchards and pineapple fields. Also see the macadamia orchards and the largest macadamia factory in the Southern Hemisphere or simply spoil yourself with a plantation sundae.

Noosa Heads

Noosa Heads, set on the edge of Noosa National Park and Laguna Bay, is alive with international standard shops, restaurants and accommodation. From Hastings Street, the centre of activity, visitors are only a short distance from the lovely beaches of Noosa National Park, the Noosa River Everglades and the coloured sands in Cooloola National Park.

Bli Bli Fairytale Castle

Bli Bli Castle is a towering replica of a Norman Castle complete with a drawbridge over a moat. Wander through the stone castle and feel the distinctive medieval ambience. Admire the diorama scenes of fairytale stories and period settings. The castle is home to over 2,500 dolls in a museum, 350 Dancing Dolls authentically dressed in the national costumes of 55 countries - many animated.

Glass House Mountains

The beautiful Glass House Mountains is a group of 13 volcanic plugs that dominate the rural landscape of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Four distinctively shaped mountains - Beerwah, Tibrogargan, Ngungun and Coonowrin are protected by national parks. There are numerous bushwalking tracks that can be enjoyed.

The Ettamogah Pub

The Ettamogah Pub is a re-creation of Ken Maynard's famous cartoon published in the Australasian Post. The pub features a large variety of draught beers, an upstairs bistro, juicy steaks and a beer garden. Other buildings on-site include the educational Reptile Displays, Gem Cave, Pioneer Motorcycles, souvenir shops and a timber shack.

Underwater World

The largest tropical oceanarium in the Southern Hemisphere, Underwater World is an adventure for all your senses. Located on the Wharf at Mooloolaba, Underwater World lets you experience close up marine life, including sharks and stingrays.

Water skiing and jet skiing on the wide expanses of water will really get your adrenaline pumping.

Horse Racing fans can visit the magnificent Corbould Park Racecourse - a very picturesque track in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Visitors to Rainbow Beach, aptly named after the seventy-two colours of sand, will marvel at the beautiful range of sand colours. A long time favourite pastime of youngsters, and the young at heart, has been filling glass bottles with layers of sand as an eternal keepsake of their Rainbow Beach holiday.

Bushwalking through pristine forest trails of the National Parks, including Cooloola and Noosa National Park presents some wonderful opportunities to see and photograph magnificent Australian flora and fauna. Have your camera ready to capture some unique memories, particularly of the bird life.

Cuddle a koala at Forest Glen Sanctuary where you will also see Australia's equally famous native - the kangaroo.

Australia Zoo is the home of the famous crocodile hunter, Steve Erwin. Here you can see the pre-historic salt-water crocodile up close and in safety.

A visit to the charming villages of Montville, Flaxton, Eumundi, Mapleton and Maleny in the Sunshine Coast hinterland offers wonderful opportunities to buy local arts and crafts. Enjoy fine dining experiences in the numerous restaurants or sit on the verandah of one of the quaint pubs overlooking the mountains, or the coast, and enjoy a cold beer and a counter lunch.

The Glass House Mountains in the Sunshine Coast hinterland were named by Captain James Cook and form a spectacular backdrop to the Pacific Ocean and coastal beaches.

Yandina near Buderim is home to Buderim Ginger, which supplies over half the world's confectionary ginger - it is a true ginger-holic's paradise!

During whaling season in September and October you can see the majestic Humpback Whales as they migrate along the Sunshine Coast.

Kenilworth is famous for its cheese manufacturing and is well worth visiting.
