3 Popular Beaches near Coolum
With beautiful, gentle water, and the radiant warmth of the sun, Coolum Beach is one of the best places on Earth to experience the summer season and all that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. But with over thirty beaches to explore, where do you begin?
Here are three of the most luscious beaches Coolum has to offer:
A popular surf spot and located in close proximity to the Clubb Coolum Beach Resort, this beach offers breathtaking views, miles of beach to walk along beautiful, clean sand and calm water. It is patrolled year round, and safe enough to take the entire family swimming. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs within quick walking distance as well.
There are beautiful sights to see, catch a tan (and maybe some waves), and even take the kids into one of the numerous rock pools or waterfalls. Not much of a surfer? No sweat, there’s a Surf School if you want to give it a go.
This is primarily a local spot, so don’t be surprised if the beach is rarely crowded. With showers, toilets, parking, and plenty of shade, Coolum Beach embodies the spirit and hospitality of the Sunshine Coast.
For vacations, Clubb Coolum Beach Resort is proud to offer excellent holiday accommodation. The resort overlooks the beach and is within close distance to many of the Sunshine Coast’s magnificent beaches and venues.
Noosa Main Beach
Clean and well maintained, with professional lifeguards, Noosa’s Main Beach is phenomenal. It is one of the only northward facing beaches on the East Coast.
Like Coolum Beach, Noosa offers a safe swimming experience for the entire family, you may even spot a whale or dolphin as you relax along the wide shoreline.
Towards the morning you may find a lot of surfers on Noosa, as the waves here are stunning. Noosa Main Beach stays pretty busy, so make time to find parking if you venture out this way. There are many cafes, shops and restaurants nearby if you get hungry, and world class views.
Adorned with a lovely addition of coffee, local shops, upscale boutiques and restaurants, Peregian Beach stands out as a true masterpiece of the Sunshine Coast. The locals have always been extremely passionate about the beauty this place has to offer, and the beach is surrounded by a warm and hospitable community.
Parking is seldom an issue here, and walking along the water’s edge is breathtaking. The beach is relaxed and draws less crowds than Coolum or Noosa. Walk along the clean sand, or travel amongst the beautiful dunes and casuarina trees, Peregian has a very cozy feeling, you’ll feel as if you are in a remote location.
Like the Coolum and Noosa, Peregian Beach is fully patrolled and approximately 15 minutes by car from Noosa Heads.
